Dimity has been involved in racing since she was 8 years old through her grandfather, father and uncles all being successful owners and trainers around the Hunter Valley area. Dimity has been writing for ARG since 2010 and in March 2013 was named Greyhound Racing New South Wales' Young Person of the Year. After being a successful owner since 2007, Dimity has now obtained her trainers licence, to pursue her passion for racing. Away from the greyhound media industry, Dimity is studying a Bachelor of Business and Law and works in finance at the Singleton Council as well as being a club director. For several years Dimity has been a platinum supporter of the Greyhound Adoption Program and various other animal welfare groups.
